MOM January 2000
oh, this isn't even an epilogue. I'm a dork.
Well, that's the end. ^^;;
Was it predictable? Was it boring? was it TOO GOD DAMN LONG?
I thought so. ^^;;;
I hope you understood what happened--that Alden and Saffron both died of AIDS...^^;; Saffron got it when she cut herself on the razor Alden had used to cut his face ("You shouldn't smoke...it's bad for you.""I doubt this is good for you either.")
Um...I'm sorry it got so horrid near the end. ^^;
I want to know what you thought of this.

ADDENDUM-1

Duhhrrr. It occured to me that I had forgotten to mention this after reading Julie's post in the Alden Book. (Thanks Julie. You rule. ^_^) Okay, first off:
Why AIDS? It was the only fatal STD I could think of. It's the easiest plot device I came up with...^^;
And I thought I'd explain about this. I quote julie: "...(and I thought the end was a little preachy...okay, there's a lot of hate for gays out there, and you probably have a better handle on it than I do; I just choose to see the world as more tolerant...) " (She said it so well. ^_^) Because yes, it's true....in this day and age a lot of the world is more tolerant. Right? Apparently, it is. But where I live, this is what would happen, pretty much. This is the viewpoint of everyone in my town, for the most part. I've only met three or four people outside of my family who wouldn't be so prejudiced. ^^;; Um...yes. And it was also a convenient plot device. VIGNETTES was also a very shortened part (20 pages condensed to 3? ^^;;;) which would have dealt with the message better had I had the time.
Bleh. As if anyone cares.
Thanks for sitting through this! Bye!
